About his work

 MG 2656

Apostol’s sculptures reflect the same magical simplicity, emitting at the same time a hymn to the joy of life. Sculptures of trees, sea life, music, they are all there for us to admire. The collection “From ashes to new life”, made of bronze and thousand-year old olive tree roots, which the artist saved and picked up himself during a big fire that occurred in 2007 near his native land is a desperate call to our sensitive awareness of the destruction we have caused to nature. His other work, “The Sea Collection”, is inspired from the admiration of Apostol for the Sea. Mythical mermaids come to life with his creations of crystal and bronze. Sea horses, Fishes, Mermaids and Octopuses represent all this magical wonder world of the deep blue.A lover of music from a tender age, he also created a series of musical sculptures for sensitive music lovers, in corporating bronze and crystal together. Crystal represents the transparent flow of a soft melody reaching our ears. Bronze, the stronger material, symbolizes the great power of music that can make our life much more beautiful!
